Join us on Saturday, January 24th at 2:00 PM for a FREE nEd Talks presentation by Amanda Allen, Where the Buffalo and the Kansas History Nerd Roam. Discussion to follow.
Join us on Saturday, February 7th from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM for a FREE seed starting workshop. At 2:00 PM Brandon West, the Bender Botanical shop, will give a presentation on the basics!
Winter NED Theatre: Join us every Saturday in winter at 2:00 PM to watch an educational documentary followed by discussion. We will begin with the Science of Energy on Saturday, December 6th. All are welcome!
Our 2026 Spring STEM camp will be held on March 17th and 18th from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Seating is limited to 12 students ages 6 to 16 years. Details to be announced.

Independence Science and Technology Center, Inc
is a hands-on exhibits and activities center that provides special programs through out the year. See our life sized Deinonychus, Komodo Dragon, Dodo bird, and have Albert Einstein greet you at the door. There is a play room for the preschool age children with a puppet stage and Thomas the train set up. A larger HO train set is on display. The Van der Graaf will make your hair stand on end and the Anti-gravity simulator will give you a spin. Area schools are encouraged and welcome to schedule an educational field trip.

Field trips and group tours can be scheduled anytime during the day.
