Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult with the exception of our Spring and Summer STEM camps. Regular business hours and all other events require adult supervision.

Join us on Saturday, May 31st at 2:00 PM to learn about butterfly gardens from Cheri Nelsen, K-State. This event is FREE and open to the public.
Join us on Saturday, June 14th at 2:00 PM in celebration of Juneteenth with a special guest speaker from Humanities Kansas, Phil Dixon, on The Kansas City Monarchs and America’s National Pastime. This event is FREE and open to the public.
Join us on Saturday, July 5th from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM for our Independence Day celebration. We will make ice cream in a bag and shoot off water rockets. This event is FREE and open to the public.

Independence Science and Technology Center, Inc
is a hands-on exhibits and activities center that provides special programs through out the year. See our life sized Deinonychus, Komodo Dragon, Dodo bird, and have Albert Einstein greet you at the door. There is a play room for the preschool age children with a puppet stage and Thomas the train set up. A larger HO train set is on display. The Van der Graaf will make your hair stand on end and the Anti-gravity simulator will give you a spin. Area schools are encouraged and welcome to schedule an educational field trip.
